Children can benefit from therapy in many ways. Children do suffer with
depression, anxiety, and a variety of emotional/behavioral problems. Children
are never too young for therapy. Much can be learned about infants, toddlers,
and young children through observation, play therapy, and working with the
caregivers. A professional, trained in working with families, is the right
person to consult, if you are having difficulties with your child. I work
with children ages 0-18. I have special training for children, ages 0-3.
I have extensive experience working with children of all ages. Children
are a product of their gene pool, as well as, their environment. Children
may not be able to verbalize their fears, worry, and sadness. Bringing your
child in for therapy can prevent long term problems that can potentially
plague him/her for life. A good therapist does not look for blame or shame
in parents that are not perfect. None of us came with a manual. Instead
we look to support, teach, and make your child/parent relationship a good
one. I believe that we do the best that we can with what we have as parents,
and that are intent is good
